Baseline Matrix of Aid Commitments to Africa

The African Monitor is developing a baseline matrix to map out funding commitments by traditional and emerging donors to Africa.

The baseline will:-

• Outline promises and pledges made to Africa since 2005 by donor governments and institutions.

• Track the extent to which promises and pledges relating to development have been converted to actual commitments to countries.

• Identify and record commitments made by African Governments to support development activities, particularly at grassroots, since 2005.
