Africa is the second fastest growing region in the world, just behind East Asia.
Despite the global economic meltdown, African economies have enjoyed a period of growth, with some economies even boasting double digit growth. This resurgence has given rise to a growing recognition of Africa as an emerging market and potential growth pole. It is imperative that this ‘moment’ be harnessed and translated into tangible development outcomes that can be felt by all citizens, particularly the grassroots populations.
